Photo Booth has been updated from version 1.0 to 1.2. I'm not quite certain when it was updated, but it was probably along with OS X 10.4.7. If you have a Mac with integrated iSight, then there's no need for you to worry about this unless your version of Photo Booth did not automatically update. For those with external iSights, you can get the updated version of Photo Booth from any new Mac. I got my version from a brand new 17in. MacBook Pro. It's as simple as copying and pasting the Photo Booth.app file. Feel free to contact me for assistance. The following are some changes I noticed in the newer version:
- Launches A LOT faster
- Fixed a bug in which Pop Art effect broke after updating to 10.4.7
- Effect 1 section is A LOT faster on PPC and Intel platforms; performance was previously poor
- (might not be new) When taking a picture, the "flash" is not only a white screen, but the display is set to max brightness
- (might not be new) Auto Flip New Photos option added under Edit menu
- (might not be new) Account Picture icon added (after taking a picture)
