A2DP Finally in Leopard

A2DP Agent is located in Core Services of Leopard (See icon image below)! Too bad it takes a new OS released for Apple to implement A2DP support to OS X. In any case, this is great news for those who purchased the Logitech Bluetooth headphones hoping to be able to use them with their macs only to find out that the A2DP profile was not supported by Tiger. If we're lucky, someone will find out how to implement A2DP in Tiger to hold us off until Leopard is released. I wouldn't hold my breath, though.

Indeed, some aspiring Mac OS X hacker should backport the A2DP and AVRCP support from the Leopard preview. I can't imagine that it's THAT difficult, I just don't know enough about the OS design to know what to do...

There is a much easier way to run a2dp on mac os x tiger, without any noticeable lag (great for films).

Hurray! I really hope that's true (is it confirmed?), because I've got a new Sony stereo with bluetooth but I haven't got any bluetooth devices to use with it

I've used A2DP on my MacBook with mac os 10.4 tiger. Took about half a day to get it to work, and it was quite buggy and required a lot of compiling and "hacking" and so fourth....

Not recomended for daily use.

If you want A2DP on Tiger, the only way I know is using iSkin's TX+RX bluetooth adapter. It works great and gives full stereo to my speakers from any app. Movies work awesome too.

heres the link folks.
