6 Airlines to Begin Supporting iPod Connectivity

According to an Apple press release, your iPod may soon never be in jeopardy of running out of batteries on six commercial airlines: Air France, Continental, Delta, Emirates, KLM, and United.
These six airlines will begin offering their passengers iPod seat connections which power and charge their iPods during flight and allow the video content on their iPods to be viewed on the seat back displays.
Consequently, it's my opinion that anyone who frequently flies with these airlines will probably end up buying an iPod if they haven't already. Heck, I'm craving a video iPod already.

This service will begin its availability mid-2007.

If only this service came sooner, I could put videos on my gf's iPod and not worry about the battery dying during our flight to Japan!

...then again...the service doesn't seem to be offered on flights to Japan...
