Leopard Feature: Two-Finger Touchpad Right Click

Sources indicate that the new beta of Leopard features the useful yet seemingly forgotten two-fingered right-click for previously unsupported iBook and PowerBook users. My guess is that this feature will only be available on machines supporting two-fingered scrolling and newer. I'm sure this is one of the 250 features included in Leopard. Although this feature is just a small checkbox in your trackpad settings, it means no more having to hold the CTRL key in order to right-click on an iBook or PowerBook.

Did they just defrost you? This feature has been available for a year already in Tiger.

I recommend this post be edited. This right-clicking is also available in Tiger. I use it all the time ;-)

Uhh, did either of you bother reading that this is a feature that is new to IBOOKS and POWERBOOKS. iBooks and PowerBooks never had two-finger right-clicking. This is a feature that was added to MacBooks. Please read before commenting.

no! no no no. i have a macbook pro and it has right click enabled as a two fingered tap, not a "two fingers on the touchpad and click the button". they destroyed a perfectly sleek and usable feature by forcing you to click now, instead of just tap. everything else about leopard is perfect except this and it is going to piss me off to no end.

While enabling tapping is mandatory, clicking works as well (tested on a ibook...last generation).
